Foot, Knee and Hip
Chiropractors are not just knowledgeable about the spine and neck. There are many problems people can experience in the lower limb that can be diagnosed by a chiropractor.
Athletes as well as non-athletes can commonly experience lower limb issues such as:
- Achilles tendinopathy
- Plantar fasciitis
- Mortons Neuroma or an intermetatarsal bursitis
- Osteoarthritis of the knee or hip
- Trochanteric bursitis of the hip.
- Shin splints (medial tibial stress syndrome, MTSS).
- Strains, sprains and muscular tears.
As with all complaints the most important first step is to arrive at a diagnosis and identify a plan of management. Chiropractic is not always the solution to all problems, but it can be a valuable first step to ensure you have a clear idea of what the issue is and how to best manage it. If there are self care options for complaints that don't require input from a chiropractor, we will teach you what you need to know. If conservative manual or physical care is appropriate, we will advice you as to the best plan, and start treating you at the initial assessment.
If you have any questions or you are in doubt as to whether we can help. An assessment (full case history and examination) is always the best first step. From there we can correctly advise you and you can then make an informed decision as to how you best seek care for your complaint.
